The Aloaha ZUGFeRD SDK comes in several variants. In principle it is completely sufficient to download the Aloaha ZUGFeRD DLL and register it on your system. Our SDK does everything else fully automatically on the first call. On your development machines, however, you should ideally install with one of the installers further down this page.

If you are upgrading from an older version < 11.0, please make sure that you have a valid version 11 licence. Upgrades with a valid maintenance contract are free of charge. For the maintenance contract we charge 20% of the complete invoice amount, always from the date of purchase.

Windows Installer – current version 11:

One installer for 32 and 64 bit: Aloaha_ZUGFeRD_SDK.zip (contains Aloaha_ZUGFeRD_SDK_Setup.msi).

• Installs the SDK to <Program Files>\Aloaha\ZUGFeRD SDK, including the Aloaha ZUGFeRD GUI.
• Adds Aloaha_ZUGFeRD.dll to the Global Assembly Cache and registers it for COM – for 32-bit and 64-bit applications.
• Requirement: .NET Framework 4.7.2.
• About four times faster than version 10 in 64-bit mode.

Windows Installer packages – last version 10:

Note: The following installers contain the last version 10 of the Aloaha ZUGFeRD SDK (.NET 3.5). We are now switching to version 11 (.NET Framework 4.7.2). The upgrade to version 11 is free of charge for all customers with a valid maintenance contract.

• All libraries without installer: zugferdbinaries.zip – all DLLs of the Aloaha ZUGFeRD SDK including the type library (Aloaha_ZUGFeRD.tlb), RegAsm for 32 and 64 bit and the registration helpers InstallLib32.exe / InstallLib64.exe. Ideal for distribution to target machines or for Delphi, VB6 and Access projects – see registering the libraries.

Requirements:

From version 11 the SDK requires the .NET Framework 4.7.2 (already included in Windows 10 from version 1803 and in Windows 11). Versions 10 and older were programmed in .NET 3.5 and require the .NET Framework 3.5 runtime. There are programming interfaces for the .NET Framework and for VB6 (COM).

Versions:

11.0.0.6 – ZUGFeRD PDFs with attachments: when embedding (MergeXMLIntoPDF), the invoice XML is now stored only once and under its correct file name; additional attachments such as an accompanying PDF always get a file type (MIME type) – no more PDF/A warning 6.8/1. For XRechnung, the PDF/A metadata take the version from the XML (BT-24). New property LastWarning: reports when an XRechnung becomes Factur-X EXTENDED because of an EXTENDED field. WriteBuyerContactPerson also writes a department without a person's name as the buyer's contact point. COM interface fully compatible with version 10 again (early binding, e.g. VB6). zugcmd: exit code 62 if signing was requested but no PDF was created; an unsigned output is not stored under the target name. The SDK installer also contains the type library Aloaha_ZUGFeRD.tlb and a COM test script. Download: Aloaha_ZUGFeRD_SDK.zip

11.0.0.3 – Signing from the command line: zugcmd signs existing PDFs or the ZUGFeRD invoice just created – locally with a certificate (-cert) or via CodeB remote signing (new parameters -remoteurl, -remoteuser, -remotepw and -level, PAdES B-B to B-LTA). The CodeB Remote Signature Service is part of the CodeB EUID Wallet software, which is thereby also used for ZUGFeRD. New COM class RemoteSigner for servers and batch operation: minimum level, reason for a downgrade, automatic retry on rate limit, settings from the registry; the ZUGFeRD GUI, PDF Viewer (minimum level setting) and zugcmd (-minlevel) use it. ZUGFeRD GUI and PDF Viewer: progress display during remote signing and a new info dialog with contact details. Download: Aloaha_ZUGFeRD_SDK.zip

11.0.0.2 – New function SignPDFRemote: sign PDF and ZUGFeRD invoices remotely with PAdES (B-B to B-LTA) via the CodeB Remote Signature Service (part of the CodeB EUID Wallet software) – without a local certificate, also via COM. ZUGFeRD GUI and PDF Viewer: new signature settings (local certificate or CodeB remote signing) and signing of finished ZUGFeRD PDFs. Download: Aloaha_ZUGFeRD_SDK.zip

11.0.0.1 – New function AddDeliveryNoteItem: delivery note reference (delivery note number, date and line number) per invoice line (EXTENDED profile). More stable PDF processing: resources are released immediately, so processing stays equally fast even with very many files in a row.
