In short: You can create an e-invoice in ZUGFeRD or XRechnung format online without your own invoicing software: in the invoice form of the Aloaha eForms Server you fill in the invoice data, sender, recipient and line items in your browser. When you submit it, a PDF/A-3 with embedded XML according to EN 16931 (XRechnung 3.0) is created and sent by e-mail to you and your customer.
Not every company needs a programming library. If you only write a few invoices or cannot install software, you can create e-invoices directly in the browser with the invoice form of the Aloaha eForms Server: fill in the form, submit it – and the server creates a hybrid ZUGFeRD invoice, i.e. a PDF/A-3 with embedded XML according to EN 16931 in XRechnung 3.0 format.

Try the test form
| Variant | Link | Note |
|---|---|---|
| In the browser (HTML) | Open the ZUGFeRD test form | Works on PC, tablet and smartphone – no installation. |
| As a PDF form | Download the PDF form | Fill it in with a PDF reader that supports forms and submit it with the button in the form. |
Please enter test data only. The form is processed on the Aloaha eForms Server, not on your computer. You receive the test invoice as a ZUGFeRD / XRechnung e-invoice by e-mail at the address entered in the form.
How it works
- Fill in the form: invoice data, seller and buyer, line items. For public-sector buyers there is a buyer reference / Leitweg-ID field; due date, IBAN and VAT categories (including 0 % for exemption, reverse charge or export) are provided for.
- Submit: the eForms Server creates a PDF/A-3 with embedded ZUGFeRD XML (EN 16931, XRechnung 3.0).
- Delivery: the finished e-invoice is sent by e-mail to you and to your customer – readable for people and machine-processable for the recipient's accounting.
According to the manufacturer, the output of the test form passes the checks for PDF/A-3b, EN 16931 and XRechnung (Mustang validator). Additionally check your own invoice with the official KoSIT validator: How do I check my XRechnung before sending it?
